The position of Moe, Larry, and the Union soldiers switch between shots, when they lead Curly away from the shed.

The position of the glasses that Curly and his wife are holding change between shots.

Curly's side burn falls off accidentally when he sneezes with his hanker chief. The side burn is back on in the next shot.

Curly accidentally gets hay thrown in his eyes when he helps Moe and Larry hide inside the shed.

At the end, when the Stooges' wives begin strangling them after they spill their drinks down their backs. The actress playing Larry's wife is seen accidentally hugging him, then remembering to strangle him.

Padding is visible on Curly's rear end when he falls off the horse.

At the end, when the Stooges accidentally pour their drinks down their wives' backs, the actress playing Curly's wife forgets to throw her drink into his face like how the other two were supposed to do.

Moe and Larry pull the bullets from the brass cartridges of a number the rifles. This type of cartridge was not in use by the Union Army at the beginning of the Civil War.

Curly's line "I understand" is repeated twice: when Moe instructs him to fake his death during his execution and again when the Union soldiers are fighting over the ham.

When Curly says the line "Where's my cap?", his mouth doesn't move.
