When Peter writes a note to Francesca in a nightclub, she turns it over and writes her reply on its back. When Peter holds up the note to read her answer, however, its back is blank; his original note is missing.
When Francesca performs in her first concert, she is wearing a small cross necklace. When she faints at the end of the concert, the necklace has disappeared in the closeups of her on the stage floor.
When Gay, Leyden, and Larsen are watching Francesca come down the stairs, Gay puts his cigarette and drink down, then begins putting his hands in his pants pocket. However, in the next immediate cut, Gay now has his hands on the hips.
When Dr. Larsen first hypnotizes Francesca, her head position relative to her chairback changes between the closeups and the medium range shots. In the closeups, her head is not only resting against the chairback, but her head is actually at the same level as the back of the chair, whereas in the medium range shots, her head level is much higher than the chairback.
Near the end, when the doctor and the portrait painter speak about Francesca getting married, the painter is told he needs Nicholas' permission. She was 17 when she moved in with Nicholas, and it's now 10 years later. At 27, she no longer needs his permission as she is now of age.
When Francesca is in the hospital, Maxwell tells her that her hands are slightly burnt. The car burst into a big explosion; however, there are no signs of any other parts of her body being damaged by fire. Additionally, Maxwell also should have had some signs of burnt injuries; however, there were none.
Francesca is about to make her continental debut, and her former school friend Susan visits before the concert. When Nicholas enters the dressing room, Susan is heard speaking while her reflection can be seen in a mirror behind Francesca; however, her spoken words aren't synchronized with her reflected image.
When Francesca first poses for Maxwell's portrait, she has her skirt just above her knees. However, the portrait has her skirt below her knees.
