When Bess is running after Tex on the Pacific island after hearing shots, she jumps into a water hole and struggles a bit, getting soaked. But, a few seconds later, after emerging from the water, she is completely dry.
Servicemen on remote islands in the Pacific during WWII were provided with beer in cans, not glass bottles, as seen in this film. Cans saved weight, took up less space on transports, and would not break during handling as glass would.
At about the 5 min mark, while Tex is riding Bess he says "Hey", but his lips aren't moving and it sounds dubbed.
