Paul Muni, Merle Oberon, and Cornel Wilde in A Song to Remember (1945)

Goofs

A Song to Remember

Edit

Factual errors

Almost all the pianos in the movie are artcase pianos made after the death of Chopin, the sound we hear is also of modern pianos.

Anachronisms

Despite the period setting of the story, Merle Oberon's hair styles are strictly 1945.
A wristwatch can be seen on Chopin's left wrist in the brief close-up of his hands playing the piano at 1 h 42 m.

Boom mic visible

When Elsner and Pleyel are walking down the staircase following Chopin's performance, the shadow of the mic boom is visible on the wall behind them.

Character error

When Professor Elsner is talking to the landlady about over due rent he tells her that she would get every last cent. It should have been every last Franc.
