The major addresses the navy port officer as "Captain". However, in naval ranks the officer is a lieutenant, as even his desk nameplate says. The only time a navy lieutenant is addressed as "captain" is when he is in command of a vessel.
When Tina crosses her room to open the door to Victor late at night, she carries an oil lamp. However, the long electrical cord actually powering the lamp is clearly visible as she crosses the room.
