This is a color remake of the 1937 cartoon Porky's Badtime Story, with Daffy filling the role that was previously played by Gabby Goat.

This was a wartime remake of "Porky's Badtime Story," so the two characters' employer changed from "Peter Piper Pickled Peppers" to "Fly-By-Nite Aircraft Company."
As this remake was produced during WW2, there are lots of sight gags that wartime audiences would have found amusing. Most notably, the stash of (rationed) gasoline and rubber tires in the garage.
The sign "Dr. Brown: Leap In, Limp Out!" might have been a nod to editor Treg Brown.
