  [Elmer aims popgun at Bugs]

  [Bugs smashes carrot juice bottle on Baby Elmer as he makes his getaway]

  Elmer J. Fudd : [crying]  I twied and I twied, but I just simpwy can't seem to catch that old wabbit!

  God : If at first you don't succeed, Elmer, try, try again.

  Elmer J. Fudd : Twy, twy again? Yeah, but how wong will it take?

  God : Come, Elmer. Let us look far into the future.

  Elmer J. Fudd : Will I eventually catch the wabbit?

  God : Come, Elmer. Come past the years 1950, 1960, past 1970, '80, '90... When you hear the sound of the gong, it will be exactly 2000 A.D.

  Elmer J. Fudd : [buried underground]  Well, anyway, that pesky wabbit is out of my life forever and ever.

  Bugs Bunny : [pops in]  Well now, I wouldn't say that.

  [kisses Elmer and hands him a lit stick of dynamite; iris out] 

• Elmer J. Fudd : Hey, where am I? What happened? I'm all wrinkled. What year is this?

  [reading newspaper] 

  Elmer J. Fudd : 2000 A.D.? Gwacious! What's this?

  [reading some more] 

  Elmer J. Fudd : Bing Crosby's horse hasn't come in yet? Hey! Smellavision wepwaces television? Howy mackarel!

• Bugs Bunny : Eh, what's up, prune face?

  Elmer J. Fudd : Shhh! I'm wooking for a wittle gwey wabbit.

  Bugs Bunny : Tell me, droopy, what's he look like?

  Elmer J. Fudd : He wooks... just wike you!

  [points gun directly at Bugs] 

  Bugs Bunny : Not so fast there, Grandpa!

  [Bugs knocks the gun aside, wrings Elmer's neck, and plants a big kiss before hobbling away with his cane in his escape] 

• [Baby Elmer is chasing after Baby Bugs in his stroller, but then Baby Bugs - dressed as a police officer - rides up next to him on a cushion of air] 

  Baby Bugs : Hey! Pull over to the turb!

  [Baby Elmer does so and Baby Bugs approaches him] 

  Baby Bugs : Oh, a pweasure driver, eh? Where do you think you're going, to a fire?

  Baby Elmer : Well, I...

  [Baby Bugs punches Baby Elmer in the nose] 

  Baby Bugs : Oh, wesisting an officer, huh?

  [With super-speed, Baby Bugs proceeds to berate and beat up Baby Elmer] 

  Baby Bugs : And don't wet it happen again!

  [Baby Bugs pulls down Baby Elmer's baby bonnet and speeds away leaving him by himself] 

  Baby Elmer : Hey... that was the wabbit!

  [Baby Bugs pops up next to Baby Elmer in his stroller] 

  Baby Bugs : YOU AIN'T JUST WHISTLIN' DIXIE!

  [Baby Bugs plants a big kiss on Baby Elmer and hops away, leaving Baby Elmer to cry in futility] 

• Baby Bugs : [stops the chase and checks his watch]  Oh-oh! Time for wittle babies to have afternoon nap.

  Baby Elmer : Alwight.

  [both Baby Bugs and Baby Elmer take a quick nap] 

  Baby Bugs : [wakes Baby Elmer]  Otay, nap over.

  [resumes chase]
