When Wally and Jennifer get out of the car in the heavy fog; all of a sudden the fog clears up and a well-lit house is shown. However, in the next shot, the house is now dark and a light comes on from the room with the lady in the window.
When Jennifer and Daniel go hide in the bottles, the labels are facing a certain way. However, in the following shots, the orientation of the bottles and labels changes several times.
After Wallace rescues Jennifer from the building, Dudley and Estelle rush through the scene to meet them. The bottom of Estelle's dress is dirty with mud. In the next scene, her dress is completely clean.
The film opens with a scene of Puritans in the Massachusetts colony burning witches. Never was anyone burned for witchcraft in America. The accused witches of Salem, Massachusetts and its environs were hanged, with the exception of Giles Corey, who was pressed to death with rocks. Burning was the European method of executing witches, and pop culture has long confused the two historical spheres.
After Margaret raises the shade in Wallace's bedroom and turns around, her key light is noticeably turned on late.
When Wally first finds Jennifer in the burning hotel, a light garment can be seen on her shoulders when she is supposedly naked.
(at around 15 mins) The movie is set in Massachusetts, but as they arrive at the hotel fire, a fire department car has the seal of the City of Los Angeles on the door.
