- Someone has left a basket with four kittens on Butch the cat's doorstep. He compares markings and quickly decides he's the father. This will not do, so first he tries burying the kits, but they were left behind when he picked up the basket. Next, it's the old Pied Piper routine; three of them fall for it, but the fourth takes a turn and crawls right into the house and the others follow. Butch catches the rogue just as he's rubbing against his mistresses leg. He stuffs it into his pillow and tries to hide it. The kitten gets out and Butch traps it in a large urn just as the other three walk past and head for mischief. Kitten two goes into the urn after unraveling the mistress' knitting; number three gets caught as he's climbing the curtains, and number four slip behind some books while going for the fish tank. All the while, the mistress is chasing Butch. With the full urn, Butch dashes outside, where he falls and breaks the urn. But lucky Butch his mistress likes the kittens.—Jon Reeves <jreeves@imdb.com>
- Someone leaves a basket at the front door of Butch, the cat's owners house. It was probably the owner of the mother tabby cat of the young four kittens. After being awakened, Butch goes to the door to investigate. After realizing the four kittens look identically like him (when he was a kitten), at-first he faints in shock, but is quickly awakened, by the four kittens, licking his face. Butch then quickly picks up the basket and tries to bury them alive, fearing the owner will keep the four young kittens and get rid of him. After burying the basket quickly, Butch sighs, and the four kittens also sigh, imitating him. After hearing the four quick sighs, Butch then tries to be a pied piper, at-first he succeeds, but stops too soon after seeing one goes into the house door opening, meant for him. He quickly runs inside and captures it using a large glass vase, with a top, but the first kitten was playing by at his master's feet, causing her to think Butch is in his second kitten-hood. As soon as Butch captured the first, the other three come into the house leading Butch to capture them, one at a time. The second kitten he captured also put him in trouble, with his owner, by undoing the knitting she was doing. Then, she starts chasing him, with the mysterious vase. Butch runs away from her and searches for the other two kittens, at the same time. The third kitten took longer to capture, than the first two. Now Butch must find the other kitten and get them out of the house and secretly, from his owner. Butch looks around the houses halls and rooms. At the bookcase, he scans over a book titled "Parents and Their Problems". Then succeeds capturing the fourth kitten (while still being chased by the owner). After Butch brakes the door opening, his owner then sees what he was trying to hide. With her friendly personality, she picks up the kittens, from the large broken vase, she pets the kittens an then complements Butch then hears her say "Oh Butch, they're adorable, and they look just like you, chips off they old block". Butch then remarks, "Well, I'll be doggone".—63x927is58401
