Cummings promises to get Deanna back to the hotel within her dinner hour. As she leaves, the butler opens the door, and the car is waiting right outside. A second or two later, Deanna steps outside (in heavy rain!), the car has disappeared and she has to walk back to work.
While Robert Cummings is visiting Deanna in her apartment, she asks him if there is anything in particular he would like her to sing (47 mins). As the camera switches back to him, the open front door behind him is suddenly pulled shut.
