- A gold strike breaks in the nearby town of Ridgeville while Circle-X owner, Jim Bannister, is away for a while. Crooked gamblers Mack Gorman and Larkin move in and take over the community. Gorman becomes Mayor and Justice of the Peace and runs things to suit him. A stagecoach, on which Judge Harkins and his daughter, Millie, are passengers is held up. Jim, on his way to town, prevents the hold-up and takes the bandits prisoners. In town, Jim stops Larkin from cheating 'Nevada" and "Banjo" in a crooked card game at the Red Dog Saloon. Gorman handpicks a jury to try the stage bandits, and they are found 'not guilty.' Gorman decides to get rid of Jim and has his henchmen ambush him, but Jim escapes and recaptures them, and gives Gorman 24-hours to get out of town. Gorman strikes back by kidnapping the Judge and Millie and has them as prisoners in a mountain cabin.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
