Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour in Road to Singapore (1940)

Goofs

Road to Singapore

Edit

Continuity

Whilst demonstrating the spot remover, the stain moves about to different places on the man's jacket in between shots.
During the first fight involving Ace and Josh, Ace's hat falls off his head. He then crashes through the ship's door. When he stands up, his hat is back on his head.
During Mima's initial dance scene, the beer level in Josh and Ace's mugs changes between shots.

Revealing mistakes

In one of the opening shots of the ship coming into port, the smoke from factories along the shore is moving backwards into the smokestacks.
The foam on the man's jacket during the spot removal scene is clearly coming from the back of his collar and not from where the chemical is supposed to be dissolving the material.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

Mima's guitar can be heard throughout "Sweet Potato Piper", even when she's not playing it.
During "Sweet Potato Piper", hand movements on the pipe bear little correlation with the notes played, and in one instance, two notes are heard before the pipe is brought to the mouth.

Errors in geography

During the opening credits, the first island scene shown is actually Tahiti, with the distinctive profile of nearby Moorea in the background.
