Andy's "achievement of the month" is shown as happening in November, but the school's monthly magazine's report on it just days later is in the May issue.

After the judge announces to the family that they are all going to New York, a shot of the local newspaper appears on the screen with a feature article mentioning the family's trip. If the viewer looks closely at the articles appearing in the columns to the left and right of the Hardy article, it is obvious that these articles make absolutely no sense from one line to the next, but are a conglomeration of unrelated lines of words.

As Andy and Betsy are walking on the street early in the film, the video background shows a woman moving from right to left obviously way too close to the camera, as she towers over the two characters.
