George Brent and Merle Oberon in 'Til We Meet Again (1940)

Goofs

'Til We Meet Again

Edit

Factual errors

The doctor states that Joan Ames has angina pectoris and that nothing can be done for her. In fact, nitroglycerine had been used for the treatment of angina since the 1870s.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Dan Hardesty and Steve Burke fall into the Hong Kong harbor, the ship is well under way and would not have been motionless next to them while they struggled in the water.

Actually, the ship has not yet departed the pier; Joan Ames and Rock have not yet boarded the ship when this occurs. The ship appears to be under way because of other ships moving in the background; the hills in the background never change position.
This movie appears to be set in 1940 which is when it was released. Steve Burke remarks that Dan Hardesty is being taken back to San Quentin to be hanged for murder. California switched from hanging to the gas chamber in 1938 and had already used it. That is something what would have been widely known in California when this movie was made.

Actually, the film is based on an original story by Robert Lord and is a remake of One Way Passage (1932). Also, per IMDb guidelines use of "artistic license" is allowed and is not considered a Goof.
