Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Curly Howard, and The Three Stooges in 3 Dumb Clucks (1937)

Goofs

Three Sappy People

Edit

Continuity

Moe's goatee appears and disappears during the food fight sequence.
During the food fight, the amount of food on Moe changes.
When the Stooges arrive at the house on their bicycle they start talking to Mr. and Mrs. Rumsford. The chauffeur is reacting to their conversation and is shown in a close up. The next scene his facial reaction is completely different than his close up was.

Revealing mistakes

When Curly puts the razor up to the cheek of the Countess (Ann Doran) it was obviously an improvisation because she almost starts laughing.
Curly, shaving at the dinner table, puts the shaver down without turning it off, but its buzzing continues for a second or two, then stops.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Curly covers the spraying champagne bottle, the sound effect of the spray is still heard.

Plot holes

After Moe says to Curly "yes, isn't he a scream" you see Larry react by rubbing his head as if Moe just smacked him on his head although you never see him strike Larry.
It is amazing that the boys knew where to go,when the butler Williams (Bud Jameson) never told them the address of the residence. at 5:25 Williams tells the boys they are needed immediately, money is no object and then Moe says "will be there in a flash in the flesh" and hangs up.

Character error

The Countess starts to imitate Moe's action of his hand striking Curly's knee on her own knee before Moe actually starts striking Curly's knee.
The Countess would probably be putting on her makeup and lipstick in the bathroom, not at the dining room table during a dinner party with many guests.
