When the car is deliberately driven off the road as part of the staged accident, it strikes the ground below with such force that the roof is clearly ripped from the body of the car. A short time later when the insurance adjuster arrives to investigate, the car is seen lying on its side, completely intact.

In the accident staged by Gregg where the taxi rear-ends another car and the taxi's passenger is supposedly injured, the taxi's front license plate comes loose and swings down in front of the bumper. But, when the cab goes to drive off, the license plate is back in place.

The auto loan company's sign misspells "repossessed" as "reposessed".
