When Stan, Ollie and Mary are running away from Mickey and Lola and they shut the security gate on them, from the inside POV shot, you see Mickey just run up to the gate and stop, but from the outside POV, Mickey's head is through the gate.
In the final scene, Ollie is holding the burro's harness just before the cut, but just after the cut, he's five feet away from the burro and performs his famous fall into a deep hole in the shallow water.
During their dance routine outside of the saloon, the background scene shows the usual daily activity going on in the town. However, throughout the duration of the dance the same stagecoaches, cowboys, families, even a line of ducks are seen on at least two, perhaps three occasions. Clearly the scene was filmed separately and used as a looped backdrop.
The slot machines at the bottom of the stairs change position before the scene in which Stan inserts a coin.
When Stan is trying to hoist Ollie up with the block and tackle, at one point the rope is seen passing between Ollie's legs. When the scene moves to a close up, he is miraculously untangled from it.
When Ollie is riding the travois while his clothes are drying, suntan marks are visible on his shoulders.
When Stan eats Ollie's hat, he takes three bites out of it and Ollie takes it away from him, but then there are three bites and another huge chunk out of the brim.
When Ollie's being hauled up to the saloon balcony and has crashed to the ground for the second time he says to Stan 'Hand me the end of that rope.' Just before he says it, his hands are in his pockets then in the closeup he's pointing.
Ollie says to Finn 'You snake in the grass' and knocks his fist on Finn's head. Finn puts his hand to his head, but in the next shot his hand is by his side.
If it was real time, the time from when Stan and Ollie realized they gave the deed to the wrong person to when the Sheriff comes in to inform the boys the last coach out of town left 10 minutes prior, was only about 7 minutes.
When The Avalon Boys are singing "At The Ball, That's All", there is only one verse to the song that is sung 5-6 times. The first two times it's sung, The Avalon Boys' lips are moving, but for the rest, they sit whilst the song continues, obviously not singing, as their lips are no longer moving. They just watch Stan and Ollie dance.
Stan and Ollie retrieve the stolen deed and give it to Mary Roberts. But it is no longer her deed. She signed it over to Finn & Lola while Stan and Ollie were singing "On the Trail of the Lonesome Pine."
The deed for the gold mine is undamaged after Stan had walked through the water with it hidden in his damaged shoe.
The mule would not have been able to keep up with a carriage travelling at speed, driven by four horses.
