Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Adolphe Menjou, and Gail Patrick in Stage Door (1937)

Goofs

Stage Door

Edit

Continuity

When Terry and Tony Powell have a discussion about being "framed", Powell is initially opposite Terry across the shelf with the photos, whereas in the next shot, he has moved to being at a right angle to her on her left side.
When Judith Canfield (Lucille Ball puts on her coat to go on a double date with 2 guys and Jean Maitland (Ginger Rogers), her coat is unbuttoned as she approaches Jean coming down the stairs. In a split second, as the girls join the guys, her coat is buttoned.
Mr. Powell's secretary says, "somebody catch her" after Kay had already hit the floor.

Revealing mistakes

Even though Kay Hamilton had died recently, when her grave is shown, the tombstone is engraved and leveled in place. In addition, the grave is completely flat with grass that already needs mowing. Fresh graves can take weeks to settle, grave stones as well. That's why there is rarely grass on relatively fresh grave. It usually takes 60 to 90 days.
Right after Jean Maitland (Ginger Rogers) says, "Who were you supposed to be?" to Anthony Powell (Adolphe Menjou), the microphone picks up a loud "clunk" from off screen that sounds like a piece of wood being dropped.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

The band at Club Grotto, where Jean and Annie perform a dance number, includes a female vocalist who can be seen singing in the background, but no vocals are heard on the soundtrack.
