During the robbery there is a tremendous rainstorm outside the bank. The gutter is a rushing river, and nearly everyone has an umbrella. Richard Dix wears a trenchcoat that is very wet. Yet inside the bank nobody carries an umbrella, wears a raincoat, or shows any sign of having been affected by the rain--several women even wear stylish hats that are not wet.
The car used by Tim Bart (Dix) during the making of his film as a gangster about to hold up a bank and the car used later by the three robbers in an actual hold-up attempt bears the same license plate number 6W 4079.
Movie company is supposedly shooting a scene at an actual bank at corner of Hollywood and Vine, but in reverse angle shots, it is clear that buildings on other side of street are fake sets.
