Goofs

Satan Met a Lady

Edit

Continuity

When Shane is talking with Madame Barabbas while sitting on the sofa arm, the placement of his hands is inconsistent from one shot to the next.

Miscellaneous

Earlier, Kenneth steals Ted Shane's leather pipe case. Later, in the meeting at Madame Barabbas's place, Shane spots the case, and struggles with Kenneth to take possession of it, which he successfully does. However, a few moments later, Shane is shown leaving Madame Barabbas's place with his hat and coat in hand, but not his cherished pipe case.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Shane is in the club dancing with Purvis, there is a band performing in synchronization to the song "Sweet Georgia Brown". But on the following cut of Shane asking Purvis about the trumpet of Roland; the piano player has now stopped performing although the music is still being heard.

Character error

The sign at the site of the first murder is misspelled. It reads "Glen Lawn Cemetary."
In his discussion with Madame Barabbas, Shane tells her the item she seeks is so valuable that it is worth her paying him plenty to find it. But actor Warren William flubs the line, saying "It's worth playing me plenty."
When Shane and Purvis are in the club dancing, there is a band performing. At one point during a close-up of the band, the Saxophone player looks at the camera.
