Originally shot and previewed as a feature. When it did not preview well, it was cut down to its current two-reel length.
The owners of the movie theatre game, "Bank Night", would not give the studio permission to use their name, hence the title change.
This was Charley Chase's last film for Hal Roach. The studio was getting out of shorts and, feeling that Chase could not "carry" a feature, they let him go.
On the second bank night, posters for a Laurel & Hardy comedy are visible on the front of the theatre.
