Goofs

After waking up in Don's country house, Joyce sits down in a chair after berating him and goes to pour a drink for herself twice between shots.

After Joyce recites a passage from Romeo and Juliet and passes out in Jerry's Joint, Don dumps the contents of her purse on the table. A closeup shows a small notebook, a key, a coin, and couple other items. After a cut, Don shakes the empty purse, closes it, grabs his hat, picks up Joyce, and turns to leave as the scene fades out. The purse's contents are no longer on the table, and they were never put back in the purse.

When the reporter is calling his office from the hospital's reception area, he places his hat at the center of the reception desk. On a following cut, the hat has changed position and is now partially hanging over the edge of the desk.

When Joyce arrives at the hospital to visit her husband, it cuts to a closeup of a plaque reading "Mercy Hospital". She then looks up and sees her husband on a hospital bed looking out a window decorated with curtains. The film then goes to a long shot of the building as she climbs the stairs, but there is no indication that this is a hospital other than the isolated shot of the plaque. It looks completely abandoned. There are no other people around including doctors, nurses, visitors, and patients. There are no vehicles including ambulances, and the window of her husband's room is the only one with curtains. Additionally, the long set of stairs is not practical for loading and dropping off patients. Perhaps the director meant the scene to be a metaphor as to the challenges facing Joyce.
