The original Broadway production of "Gambling" written and produced by George M. Cohan opened at the Fulton Theater on August 26, 1929 and ran for 152 performances. Among the cast were Jack Leslie, Robert Middlemass, Theodore Newton, Mary Philips and Jane Thomas.
