The Warner Archive announced on their Facebook page in 2016 that they have found a copy of "Leathernecking" (1930) in their archives.
The sound discs for the film are held by the UCLA Film and Television Archives.
The film originally contained 1475 feet (450 m) of 2-strip Technicolor footage in reels 8 & 9, which consisted primarily of musical numbers performed on the desert island and the musical comedy finale back in Honolulu.
No print of this film is known to survive.
