One of the worst films ever made by a major studio (Universal), "Fangs of Destiny" is a really hilarious addition to any movie-lover's library. Fortunately, it's easy to pick the worst actor, namely Eddie Cobb, incredibly miscast here as the spotless hero. Eddie is obviously aware that he's not only making a fool of himself, but that his frantic "acting" and all the smiling in the world is not going to improve the clichéd script one iota. It's Dynamite's movie and he easily outclasses all the human players except spirited Joan Hathaway. No, Joan doesn't play the heroine. That task is feverishly undertaken by Betty Caldwell. Instead, Joan has the smaller femme role as the cook, but despite all that Dynamite can do, she still makes an impression. As for the plot in which the bad guys are aware of the rich oil deposits on the land, but the dopey owner has not even the tiniest inkling of these riches, it was used so many times in both "A" and "B" westerns that you could easily fill a large book with all these titles and their credits. This one is available on a very good Alpha DVD.
