The Wizard of Oz (1925)

Goofs

The Wizard of Oz

Edit

Continuity

The plane that brings Kruel's emissaries from Oz to Kansas is a triplane in midair but a biplane when it lands.
The first egg that drops from the chicken breaks on the face of the sleeping farmhand; there is no egg on his hair. After a cut, as he is wiping his face, there is egg shell on the top of his head which flies off as he looks up to the chicken and catches the second egg that drops.

Factual errors

The chicken above the sleeping farmhand pushes out 8 eggs in a matter of a minute. That is a good week's work for a chicken.

Revealing mistakes

The egg that drops and breaks on the sleeping farmhand (played by Director Larry Semon) is obviously fake as its contents are black and the eggshell is broken into many small pieces as opposed to just cracked open.
