"Three Weeks" was (Madame) Elinor Glyn's official cimematic masterpiece from her book, of a beautiful queen (Aileen Pringle) of a Ruritanian kingdom who forsakes her loveless existence for three flaming weeks on a (literal and figurative) bed of roses in the company of a youthful British aritstocrat (Conrad Nagel). Then she sorrowfully renounces him and returns to her duty.
