Original title: "The Siren of Seville."
The day after production began, the New Jersey location was blanketed in one of that state's worst snowfalls. Raoul Walsh suggested to Fox Studios that the location be changed from sunny Spain to frozen Russia. Halfway through production the snow melted, creating a sea of mud.
