Remember kids--the best way out of a predicament is to lie your head off!!

This is a convoluted short film from the Edison Company. The illogic and message that when problems come up and you are NOT guilty of doing anything wrong, lie your head off instead of telling the truth is a bit odd! A naive young lady comes to the big city but is unfortunately befriended by a couple who probably are up to no good. However, she is unaware of this and accepts their offer to help. Soon, and completely out of the blue, another crook accosts them--and the two men struggle until one of them is killed. Now during this time, the young lady does NOTHING...yet, inexplicably, the police are looking for her in connection with the killing! In the meantime, she is taken in by a total stranger. He hides her and when the cops come looking for her, he lies and protects her from them. And, in a totally mondo-bizarro moment, the two end the film by deciding to get married--even though they've barely met! Weird stuff, but also rather interesting because of the odd subject matter.
