Animator Kelly Asbury died on June 26, 2020, at the age of 60. A native of Texas, he worked in many acclaimed animated films of the last decades and finally made his debut as a director with Oscar nominee Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002), where he shared credits with Lorna Cook. Years later, he made his solo director debut with Gnomeo & Juliet (2011), and he kept working until 2019, when his last film UglyDolls (2019) was released worldwide.
