- The song "Salty and Sweet" by Aespa describes a relationship that is both difficult to resist and complicated. The lyrics express the notion of desire and allure that comes from something or someone that is both salty and sweet, complex and tempting. The verses, sung by Giselle, Karina, and Ningning, suggest the idea of adding and mixing ingredients into a recipe, enhancing the flavors to create a unique and special taste. They also describe the effects of the mixture, noting that it is something that is difficult to resist and becomes more potent over time. The bridge describes the moment when a person can no longer resist the desire for this "salty and sweet" experience. The refrains sung throughout the song serve to reinforce the idea of this duality within the relationship, where the salty and sweet mix is both irresistible and somewhat dangerous.
