- This documentary aims to prove to the world that religion has become the weapon used both by the devout, and political leaders, to win their wars. Jennifer Abbott's ambition is to show the world that true religion is not what our leaders use to create hostilities against other countries. This is why religion appears to be at the root of so many problems today. Is the warfare and corruption perpetrated by those leaders who claim to serve God, justified? She wonders what God they worship. It's certainly not the same God she knows. The fault lies not with all religion and religious leaders, but with false doctrine and false beliefs passed on to the people through unfair media, schools, and parental influence. What does God represent, and do we follow his words. The Bible teaches and plainly states, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let them have thy cloak also, And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. (Jesus Christ, in Mathew 5:38-41). This is a perfect example of the hypocrisy, lies, and deceptions of religion. If we're to follow the Bible, the Torah, or the Koran, God emphasizes in each one of them that you should love your brother and sister, and we all are God's children. God never supported violence or destruction. He preached nothing but serenity. If we're all God's children, why would we discriminate amongst others? No matter what religion we follow, and since we all worship the same God, we should all abide by the same Golden Rule. At any uncertain moment the world's political powers can turn on false religion and completely destroy one another. World leaders commit despicable acts in the name of God, and seem to use their political and economical ambitious greed as their instrument of execution and destruction. Jennifer Abbott wants to prove to the world that religion is an environment which some people are born into. A belief which encourages us to remain honest and decent, not for us to kill each other. None of us has a choice to be born Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Buddha. For that reason, we should not be punished. We all share the same earth, breathe the same air, and worship the same God. We must learn to live in peace and honor and respect each others choice of worship.
