- A mobster travels to Hollywood to collect a debt, and discovers that the movie business is much the same as his current job.
- The adventures of a mobster-turned-movie producer in Hollywood. TV show based on Elmore Leonard's novel and subsequent film.
- The program presents notes from Barry Sonnenfeld about the painful slowness of shooting movies and how little control directors usually have. He discusses this a little in his commentary, as it connects to Danny De Vito's decision to never allow him to say "cut", but it's cool to see the actual alternate takes from the actor. De Vito chimes in with a few remarks as well.
- More of a scrapbook than gag reel, much of this compilation appears to be sourced from videotape, and it is correspondingly murky. The best parts are from Travolta's love scenes with Russo, which, as Sonnenfeld describes on the commentary, he enjoyed so much that he prolonged them by doing takes in accents and foreign languages.
- Sandy and Shorty drift into town on the top of a box car. They get away from the yard and Sandy pulls the ever-ready flask from his coat. Alas, it is empty. Sandy sees a gang of men at work and persuades Shorty to get a job there, and get the price of a drink. Sandy enjoys an easy time and presently attempts to come over and boss the job. The foreman comes along and forces Sandy to work alongside his partner. Neither of them work any too well so the foreman decides to show them how it should be done. When he takes off his coat Sandy notices a full whiskey flask in his pocket. He abstracts it cleverly, manages to get away from the scene with his friend, and they proceed to enjoy themselves to their hearts' content.
- The boys of Simms' ranch play a joke on Shorty by putting a stale egg at his place for breakfast. Shorty gets angry and throws the egg at the cook, who dodges, and the egg hits Simms in the face. This starts an argument and Shorty is '"fired." Shorty bundles his few clothes, mounts his horse and rides away. He sees a notice offering $500 reward for the capture, dead or alive, of a bandit known as the "Desert Rat." Shorty sees the "Desert Rat" holding up the stage and plans to capture him, but instead he is wounded by the bandit. One of the passengers who had shot at the bandit, tells the sheriff that he has hit the man and that they can trail him by the blood stains. They find the trail and follow Shorty to the bandit's cabin, where he has taken refuge. He is arrested, found guilty and sentenced to be hanged, but is saved by the bandit's wife, who persuaded her husband to make a written confession before he died.
- 2016–Podcast EpisodeSteven Weber managed to get off of Nantucket and find his way to the Hollywood Improv for a really fun interview. He told us all about the honor that it is to work for Mel Brooks, what it was like being on the most ubiquitous sitcom on the 1990s, and how Netflix is exposing his latest show to a new audience. It was late at night when we interviewed him, but the words "too tired" aren't in his vocabulary, and shouldn't be in yours either when it comes time to listen to THE NIGHT TIME SHOW.
