A story based on the life of journalist Torgny Segerstedt, who alerted the Swedish public to the threat of Fascism in the 1930s.

The explosion is powerful and the devastation enormous when a subway train explodes in Stockholm's tunnel system on a November night. The country is in shock. A group calling themselves "The Holy Riders of Siffin" claim responsibility for the attack in an anonymous call that the A Unit manages to trace. They think they are close to an arrest. What they don't know is that this is just the beginning of a hunt framed by political extremism, hate and death.

Kristin counts down the days to her high school graduation, when she'll finally get to leave her small town and her manipulative sister behind, for the New York of her dreams. Everything is perfect, and the local paper has promised to publish Kristin's columns about the city that never sleeps. But Kristin misses her flight and, to escape total humiliation, instead ends up hiding out at the house of the peculiar young girl Andrea, far out on the countryside. In this house of Nowhere, Kristin brings Andrea along to the pulsating heart of New York on a big virtual adventure which she chronicles for everyone at home to follow. But then reality comes knocking.

No two friends are more different than Little Anna and the Tall Uncle. She is short, he is very tall. Little Anna is brave, the Tall Uncle is a scared cat. And yet there is nobody who Little Anna would rather go swimming with, build a tree house with or ride a motorcycle with than the Tall Uncle. And there is nobody the Tall Uncle would rather bake a yummy cake for than his best friend Little Anna.

War comes between a nurse-in-training and a rugged fighter pilot.
