- The action begins in the "Freciencia de Jesusa", a restaurant in the neighborhood of La Barceloneta in Barcelona. There, two children, Juan José and Maribel, delight tourists singing and dancing to the guitar of "Uncle Pepe", while attracting customers to the place. Suddenly, the news comes that Don Carlos and Doña Amparo, Maribel's parents, return to Barcelona from Oviedo, which does not happen very often, it seems. From the reaction of Maribel, his sister Luisa and his grandmother Trinidad, it is clear that the arrival of the parents is not too welcome. The reason is very simple: Maribel has not been to the College of the Dominican Sisters for a week and does not play the piano as a mother's wish, but instead dedicates himself exclusively to dancing in Juan José's mother's restaurant (something his father he would never approve), while his sister Luisa is dedicated, after finishing her fashion designer career, to modeling in the parades, even though her parents think she is the designer.
- Angélica, a girl raised in the slums of Barcelona, joins her brother and his friend Manolo to participate in petty robberies using her sex appeal to hitchhike. Thus, she will facilitate the robbery of unwary drivers who stop at her signal. The problems will come when Angélica falls in love with a trucker named Juan, which will arouse, in turn, Manolo's jealousy.
- The improvised spy, Jaime Bonet, must go to Barcelona to recover a stolen microfilm which is hidden in a soccer ball.
