- A Dutch exploration team sets sail to find the North East passage to the Indies. The weather had other ideas for them.
- The journey of a homeless boy who tries to find his father, set in the 1920's in Holland.
- Set around 1900, Apenstreken (Monkey Business) tells the story of orphan Wim, who badly wants to go to school, instead of spending his time doing forced labor in the city's factory. By his own cunning, and with a little help from a small monkey, Wim finds new friends, a fun school and a loving family.
- Fisherman's son Benjamin 'Bennie' Stout is mischievous, in a prank war with the mayor's spoiled-rotten son Roderik, and accident-prone, making life hard for his big brother Steven, who left school to help pay the bills, and their mother Rietje. When they hear that father Willim isn't returning in December to earn extra cash in Bilbao, Bennie decides to join him in Spain. As he can't afford passage, he devises to be naughty enough--which comes naturally--to be snatched into St. Nicholas's helpers' bag with the other worst kids as every year, even writing his own name in the book instead of Roderik. However St. Nick usually lets kids escape or returns them and isn't convinced Bennie is truly naughty rather then missing his father's firm guidance, so Bennie keeps trying to prove himself worse than ever. Still, everyone is in for more surprises.
- Tony Carrera is just about to end his crime career and turn into a laid-back life with a future millionaire wife and a career as Formula 1 driver. But then he is being forced to do a final job.
- In this lighthearted Dutch format, using as title an expression literally meaning "on land, at sea and in the air", candidates from the public at large demonstrate in open air how long and far they can keep going (sometimes only a few meters) in a self-constructed sort of go-cart, before crashing (usually in the water). Many stake more on originality and the entertainment value of a crazy, flashy design, in some cases obviously more of a hindrance the an asset, or participate just for the fun, rather then actually aiming at a winning performance.
- 9-episode travelogue through The Netherlands of 1823, following the itinerary and words as jotted down in the diary of young Dutch author Jacob van Lennep, who hiked -by foot and coach- during three months in the rainy summer of 1823, through the young Kingdom of the Netherlands, eight years after its becoming independent. Author Geert Mak, as narrator, joined me during the sunny summer of 2000 on a trip retracing the footsteps of Van Lennep, with the amazing result that most of the 19th century's locations could be found intact, following the original footpaths and coach-routes. Thus this mini-series turned out to be a living testimony of cultural-history of The Netherlands of 200 years ago.
