- One of the important areas of art of Kazakh folk masters in the past was the decoration of items of horse equipment: saddles, chepraks, tebenkov, harness and blanket. This tradition has ancient roots and is connected, first of all, with the huge and exceptional role played by the horse in the life and outlook of nomads for many millennia. "A horse is the wings of a man" - this is an old Kazakh proverb, and it had a deep meaning. the Horse was a loyal friend and companion of the steppe man-a warrior and cattle breeder-at all stages of his life. Sometimes the role of the "double" of the owner's soul was played not by the horse, but by its harness and saddle, which indicates the inseparability of the image of the horse and the items of its equipment.
