- Tika is ten years old. Her biggest passion is traditional Georgian dancing. She has promised to help a group of disabled children prepare a dance for a show for the town. Each day after school, Tika teaches the children to dance. She wants to help them build their self-esteem and feel the same joy when they dance as she does. But it's difficult for them to remember the steps. Nika, a boy with mental disabilities, has a solo, and he gets very frustrated when he keeps making mistakes. Tika starts to doubt herself. Is she able to succeed? Will the children feel proud of themselves afterwards?
- Javed, 11, has dropped out of 2nd grade because his teacher was beating him. He has left home because his mum beats him if he does not make money for the family. Javed now lives on the beach and makes a living together with his friend Shahidul by giving people massage. He almost win a big surf contest and afterwards comes to the conclusion with his best friend and surfing teacher that he will to go back to school as long as he can surf in his spare time and maybe win the next competition so he can make a living from being the best surfer of the beach.

One day two nuns pay Hninn and her classmates a visit and tell them about the purpose of being a nun. After listening to the nuns, Hninn gets inspired and wants to become a nun too. She wants to become a daughter of Buddha so that she can enrich her future and be happy. To become a nun, Hninn has to shave all of her hair off, meditate every day and say goodbye to her family. Will she earn good Karma and become a daughter of Buddha, even though she misses her family?
- Lochin, 12, from Uzbekistan aspired to become the Strongman in the family's circus troupe. But then one day, the clown retired and Lochin was told to replace him. Now other boys call him "the little clown." In order to convince his father and uncle that he should be the Strongman, Lochin envisions a daring stunt that will strike the audience with fear and admiration.
- Yang has the lead role as the Monkey King playing at the famous Chinese Opera. It is a dream that is being fulfilled, since the Monkey King is the great hero of Yang. Yang's role is physically very demanding and the training is brutal. Teachers shake up in Yang's little body. Yang does not have one real friend in school, Yang tries to become part of the football community's other boys, but makes such a lousy figure that it merely emphasizes his outsider status. Nevertheless, he takes courage and invites 3 classmates to the premiere. When they see him in a leading role in one of China's most important theaters, they may get to understand his fascination - and accept him as a friend.
- Emine (10) lives in the small town, Pazar, in North East Turkey. Her best friend is Eda Nur (11). There has just been an earthquake 400 km away from where they live. Through the news they learn that many people have died and buildings have collapsed. The girls have to prepare for their first Turkish bagpipe concert. But Emine is jealous of Eda Nur's skills and that challenges her in keeping up the good friendship. Through the interactions between the two girls, we hope for Emine to acknowledge that her and Edanur are good at different things and that she sees the strengths of that in their friendship.
- Gaia and Giulia are twins. They are 14 years old and love rowing. Together they train for the annual gondola race La Regata Storica. A race that has brought all of Venice together for the last 700 years. Here they will compete against some of Venice's best sailors. Their father is a proud gondolier himself and has high expectations for his two daughters. Both Gaia and Giulia have great temperaments, but beyond that they are very different. Their disagreements repeatedly prevent them from doing their best when sailing. But they will have to find a way to work together if they are to win the race and make their father proud.

To give Kaw the courage, her schoolteacher gives her tickets to a concert with her favorite popstar. And she even gets to meet her backstage. With advice from the famous pop singer and with the support from her best friend next door, she finds the courage to sing at the local concert.
- Nastia (13) is the captain of an elite gymnastics team in Kiev. The girls on the team are her best friends. Together they train hard for the upcoming championship. They win the championship and have never been better. Just one month later, war breaks out in Ukraine and Nastia has to move with her grandmother to Germany. Now Nastia has to create a new life without her parents and without her friends from gymnastics. She has no idea when she will be able to return to Kiev and see her parents and friends again. And the wait in Germany is difficult for Nastia. But when she joins a German gymnastics team, things slowly start to brighten.

- Daniar (12) lives on a farm in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. He loves animals - and horses most of all. One day his father presents him with a young wild stallion that he get's to keep if he can tame it. Daniar is overjoyed and takes the challenge but the horse has a bad temper. A dramatic incidence happens where his brother is kicked in the head of Daniar's horse so it has to be put down. Daniar looses his beloved horse and promise himself to teach his new horse harder.
- Poonam (14) happily breaks the news of her imminent marriage during a break at her school in Nepal. As her friends lose themselves in stories about horrible marriages of other girls, it dawns on Poonam that she has no clue about her future husband and in-laws. - To Ravi (13) it feels like flying when he jams with his brother on the rooftops in his village in India.
