- John's Nan sits in for a parcel while he is at work. On the way home, Kayleigh and John have a chat about their relationship. Will they end the series as Car Share buddies, or more?
- John is tired after a late night collecting his mother from the airport and gets the wrong idea when Kayleigh tells him she went 'dogging' with Ken from next door. They discuss music they would have played at their funerals but on arriving at work find that the elderly trolley park attendant Ted's actual funeral warrants a morning off. On the way home there is more confusion as to the different views of what dogging means and John gets to meet the ageing Ken, Kayleigh's 'dogging' friend.
- Kayleigh tells John this will be her last car share as she is having to move to her sister's out of town. To celebrate they have breakfast in a café where Kayleigh raises eyebrows with her costume to promote National Jam Week. On the return drive John admits that he wanted to be a musician and plays pub gigs, which impresses Kayleigh. As he drops her off they exchange gifts and John smiles as he drives away, listening to the music track she has made for him.
- Kayleigh has moved house and now takes the bus to work but still rings John on his car-phone and needs his help when she gets lost. John meanwhile falls foul of an angry cyclist and ultimately it looks as if the former car-sharers need to their old partnership, despite the vengeful cyclist's You Tube upload and Kayleigh's new boyfriend Steve.
- John uses a song he recorded to get Kayleigh back in the car...just for old times' sake.
- An audio only special eavesdropping on John and Kayleigh as they make another average day's journey to work.
- Kayleigh is hung over when John collects her and looks a mess. They reluctantly give a ride to smelly Ray from the wet fish department, who bores them by telling them how he learnt to gut fish in Japan. They make an excuse not to give him a lift home but are rumbled and Ray is not amused. Kayleigh has a date and is not convinced when John tells her that he feels he is better off being single.
- Whilst John mock's Kayleigh's superstitions at least they don't physically come to blows like other car sharers Janice and Elsie. An altercation with a builder leads to a visit to the car-wash where Kayleigh's aqua-phobia induces a panic attack. On the way home she explains how it came about but they are interrupted by a call from John's boss Dave Thompson who, unaware that Kayleigh can hear, is very critical of her. She replies in kind.
- It is not John's day. Not only must he take Kayleigh's annoying nephew and niece to school but he slips on the pavement posting a letter and ends up with his arm in a sling, requiring Kayleigh to drive. Kayleigh confides that she is worried as her flatmate is moving out and she cannot afford to pay the full rent herself whilst John's perfect day is rounded off when the car breaks down because Kayleigh put the wrong petrol in.
- When their supermarket issues a car share scheme assistant manager John Redmond agrees to drive promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson to work. After having trouble finding her house John is not best pleased when she spills the contents of her sample bottle on him, requiring a change of shirt. Nor is he happy when she asks about his ex- and mentions that she has signed up to a dating service. Things improve on the way home as he chats about being up for promotion and she tells him about a drug dealing former boyfriend. They decide that they are happy to share with each other.
- Kayleigh and John car share to a work fancy dress shindig, however they have an unwanted guest on the way home - Elsie who 'is saying nothing'.
- John drives Kayleigh home from work, reacting to songs on the radio and discussing stroke treatment, favourite meals and John's school trip to France. John is surprised when Kayleigh admits that she had her first boyfriend - now in prison - at the age of thirteen but secretly pleased when she suggests a - sort of - dinner date.
