Guybrush Threepwood, a young pirate-in-training sets out to pass the Three Trials presented by the pirates of Mêlée Island. He falls in love with the governess of Mêlée, Elaine Marley as he attempts to reach the fabled Monkey Island and vanquish the nefarious ghost pirate LeChuck.
