- In 1947, those aspiring to be priests are sent to a remote monastery to live in seclusion (Seklusyon) on the last day of their training. The purpose is to shield them from evil of the world. The plot thickens when a mysterious young girl arrives there, but the challenge that awaits the candidates is whether she was really sent by God or by the Devil.
- Based on the 1979 comics and movie MANG KEPWENG, played by the legendary Chiquito, MANG KEPWENG RETURNS tells the story of the albularyo's son and his adventures with the magical bandanna. When Mang Kepweng died because of mysterious circumstances, buried with him was the secret that besides his son Zacharias (James Blanco), he had another son, Kiefer (Vhong Navarro), heir to the magic bandanna that has the power to cure any illness. Because of this, Mang Kepweng's old nemesis, Ingkong Kapiz (Pen Medina) returns to spread darkness and destroy Kiefer. With help from his mother, Aling Milagros (Jaclyn Jose) and Princess Alisandra (Jackie Rice)'s magic powers, Kiefer uses his newfound powers to save the world against evil as the new Mang Kepweng.
- The film is about the lives of simple folk caught between the crossfire of Kapitana accused of political patronage, and Patrol Kalikasan using the environment as a front for their own political and economic interests on the small mining community. As the provincial government and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) fight over the jurisdiction over small-scale mining operations, Elmer and Linda suffer the devastating consequences of the legacy of violence and corruption of the country's turbulent political and ideological history.
- Wedding planner Kylie ha had a string of boyfriends, all of whom have turned out to be gay, starting with her very first boyfriend Benj; at least some of them have become friends. In fact, Benj is one of her very best friends, besides being her business partner. Because of her "luck" with me, she comes to believe that she will never find her "The One"--everyone she gets attracted to will eventually come out as gay. Then she meets Diego, Benj's childhood best friend and secret love, and gets smitten. Egged on by Benj, Kylie sets out to prove that she's right again: that Diego, who is engaged to be married to a beautiful and classy lady, is indeed another closet case.
- Eugene prepares for her comeback vehicle after a long sabbatical from movie making. Rainier proposes "The Itinerary," a heartbreaking anatomy of a crumbling marriage as told through a couple's trip to Baguio, their former honeymoon location. Eugene Domingo is excited by the project but she has other ideas in mind. In the film within the film, we see Eugene's absurd suggestions and recommendations changing Rainier's script by employing the poetic of the Pinoy romantic comedy genre into what is supposedly a realistic portrayal of love and marriage.
