- A Helping Hand is a cautionary tale about the perils of giving. Cynthia, a successful physical therapist, leads a life devoid of meaning and love. She spends her free time cruising dating websites searching for the right man, or the wrong man with the right gear. Then one day she meets Donna, a strangely compelling homeless girl. Cynthia decides to cross the divide that separates them and offer Donna a helping hand. Donna has been waiting patiently for that help, like a spider awaits a fly.
