- The untold narrative behind the most successful minor team in the history of the GAA - the Tyrone 'Class of 1997/1998'. The film focuses on the personal experiences and emotions of this unique group of minors who along with their manager, Mickey Harte, graduated to the Tyrone Under 21's where they won two All Irelands, culminating in the 2003 senior triumph. The film shows how an extraordinary series of personal tragedies bonded a particular group of young men and how they triumphed in the face of adversity.
- This film captures the work of Belfast based renowned artist Noel Murphy's six-month journey as he paints all 53 women members of the Oireachtas in one single portrait. The completed work was unveiled on International Women's Day 2018 in March, marking both the centenary of the 1918 election of Countess Constance Markievicz, the first woman in the world to hold a cabinet position, and the record number of female TDs in the 32nd Dáil following the introduction of the gender quota in 2016. The film takes the viewer on a journey combining politics and art, where broadcaster and journalist Eamonn Mallie talks to a representative number of deputies about issues concerning women entering politics and the significance of historical figures such as Countess Markievicz. The documentary also gives a penetrating insight into the artistic journey, from conception to completion of the work, showing how the emotions and personalities of the women are captured on canvas.
- This is the story of Kegworth air-crash survivor Stephen McCoy as he embarks on a journey to try to walk for the first time in 30 years following the crash of British Midland Flight 92. Unable to walk independently or make himself understood to the outside world - the programme witnesses an extraordinary life in Northern Ireland informed by courage and spirit in the face of incomparable adversity. On January 8 1989, 16-year-old All-Ireland boxing champion Stephen McCoy's dreams were shattered when he was pulled half-dead from the wreckage of the Kegworth air disaster, which left him brain damaged, paralysed down the left side of his body, confined to a wheelchair and with a motor-speech disorder for the entirety of his adult life. This film sees Stephen being introduced to - and operating - cutting-edge technology in the form of a robotic exoskeleton as he attempts to fulfill his dream of walking again. In addition to observing this personal journey, we follow Stephen's daily struggles in life. Animated sequences bring the viewer into his emotional and imaginative world, revealing his innermost hopes, dreams, memories, fears and frustrations. The film also follows Stephen on his annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, highlighting his deep faith, his eagerness to communicate through prayer and his insatiable appetite for life in spite of his circumstances.
- The name of eighty-two-year-old Basil Blackshaw as an artist is on the tip of everybody's tongue who is familiar with painting on the island of Ireland - but he remains as elusive and as enigmatic as international artist Banksy. Blackshaw - who lives among bulrushes in County Antrim and to whom the village of Doagh up the road from his home, is 'abroad' - agreed to be filmed for the first time - speaking liberally and generously of his inner most thoughts on "making paintings." Up until now Blackshaw's paintings hanging in galleries and in museums were the only clue to the public as to what makes him tick. The extremes to which he went to guard his privacy historically manifested themselves when he opted to wear a paper bag over his head visiting one of his exhibitions in Cork, rather than be photographed by a local photographer.
