Instead he must visit private academies (including military school) with his parents, who want him to do better in school. Foreshadowing to the coming war in 1973 and the defeat of euphoria.

She decides to try to understand what it is like for Israel's men to do army service several weeks every year, so she gets permission to film a group of reservists doing their time in a desolate base in the northern, Golan Heights of Israel.
