- Grace realizes Wade and Nadine are having sex when she finds a pair of his boxers in her garage. Grace slips on Wade's icy property, and at Wade's insistence, sees a physical therapist. Wade accuses Grace of drawing out the sessions when he finds out she is attracted to Travis, the therapist. Grace later decides to date Travis.

Matthew then realizes he's mad at Grace for giving him up and storms out, but comes back later so they can work things out.
- Grace takes a road trip to Memphis with Faith and Russell in order to see her little sister Evie get married to a man who ends up hitting on Grace. Along the way she meets an enigmatic stranger who seems to know things about Grace and her visit.
- Byron's opponent brings details of a stripper in Byron's past to light but Byron refuses to fight back, and just wants to discuss the issues. Byron wins the election and proposes to Whitley which upsets Dwayne. Jaleesa gives birth with the help of Kim and Freddie.
- As Rory's secret London love affair continues, working on her book proposal becomes increasingly difficult. Lorelai and Emily go to therapy together.
- Billy returns to Port Moore to find his home disturbed by recent events. As he attempts to distributed his illicit goods, he finds his boat is overtaken by a presence.
- Grace sends a story to the local paper and is thrilled when she is told they will print it. She later finds they have heavily edited the story. Quentin tells Grace he wants to live with Jimmy and Jimmy agrees it is a good idea. Grace relents for a two week period, but Jimmy brings Quentin back after only one week, saying he isn't cut out for full time fathering.
- Fresh from a career high, Rory pays a visit to Stars Hollow. Emily copes with Richard's death. The inn keeps Lorelai busy as she ponders her future.
- With Gabi upset at him, Josh gives her a two week vacation to begin a food truck business with Sofia, and they end up grabbing Rachel Ray's attention. Josh wants to apologize to all the girls he hurt while in a relationship, but he ends up in a shocking situation with the first girl he apologizes to.
