THE TREE is a short film about an old man that has dementia who is given £150 by his carer to pay his council tax but instead finds himself drawn to an antique movie projector he spies in a charity shop, asking price £150. He buys the projector, takes it home and discovers a film left inside. He runs the film entitled THE TREE and becomes so engrossed that he falls in love with the woman in the film. He becomes obsessed with finding the actual tree used in the film thinking it will lead him to the love of his life, all against the advice of his family and friends.

Kelly and Tom are a couple in trouble, a relationship on the rocks and little left to say to each other. Problems in their relationship come bubbling to the surface when Kelly notices a single protruding nose hair hanging out of Tom's nostril. In an attempt to make him remove it before her friends arrive, she inadvertently causes their relationship to end in a sick and painful mess

Following her mother's death, a young woman names Gina discovers that she has a sister who was put up for adoption many years ago and is living in New York City. Gina goes in search of her remaining family and along the way discovers that she has hidden musical talents and makes new friends.
