- Step right up for This week in Horror as we enter the Big Top and explore 'Carny Terror'. In celebration of the long awaited release of 'Santa Sangre' our hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson are joined by members of the Venice Beach freak show, who both dazzle and disturb as they bend their bodies impossibly and swallow swords, that's right you will see not one but two swords swallowed. While it's a near impossible act to follow we were lucky enough to have the film composer of 'Santa Sangre', Simon Boswell, in studio for a one on one interview about his work on the film. - With the premiere episode of this week in horror we delve into the exploitation of Christmas with our all Christmas Horror spectacular. Join Hosts Matt Raub and Chris Ullrich as they dig through the toy chests of Christmas gore. Marvel as special guest Santa Claus drops by to hand out his picks for the best and worst from Christmas Horrors past. After Santa's list Matt and Chris tear into their stockings with a review of the brand new film "Rare Exports" based on the popular series of Finnish short films that deal with an evil Santa, who no longer cares whose been naughty or nice. Down the chimney and into our studio are guest directors David Steiman (Santa's Slay) and Lewis Jackson (Christmas Evil), who have come to weave tales about their adventures in creating Christmas Horror classics. All this and more in our holiday spooktacular.
- This week our hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson get preachy in our all exorcism 'Devil Be Gone' episode. - This week our hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson get 'Giallo Fever' as they break down the popular Italian genre of slasher mystery films known as 'Giallo'. After reviewing the less then stellar 'And Soon the Darkness' Staci introduces the A- Z of Giallo clichés which will catch you up to speed if you have no idea what Giallo means. Our first guests are the co-writers behind the films 'Toolbox Murders' and "Mother of Tears' Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson who discuss working with the master of Giallo himself Dario Argento and they take a look at the fashion and style that made the films so memorable. With a double helping of Argento related guests we talk to Jim Agnew and Sean keller the writers behind 'Giallo' the controversial new Argento film, that is currently in a legal limbo. While they can't discuss the case they do have some great stories about shooting in Italy with Argento and the influence they took from the genre to craft their own murder mystery. Break out your black gloves, prepare your alibi and crack open some J & B it's Giallo time.

Hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson attempt to reveal the Real science behind the Reel science in classic Mad science horror films. - It was only a matter of time before the dead rose from their graves to descend upon our studio, luckily our guest knows a thing or two about stomping out the undead as he plays hot-headed cop, Shane on AMC's hit show 'The Walking Dead'. Host Staci Layne Wilson is missing after all the zombie carnage so joining Matt this week is the wonderful actress and Scream Queen, Brooke Lewis who helps grill Jon about the future of the love triangle at the heart of the popular series. - Once upon a Midnight Dreary, while I pondered weak and weary, over many a dull and forgetful podcast..there was no tapping at the door just the sound of the eleventh episode of This Week in Horror celebrating the works of 'Americas Shakespeare' Edgar Allan Poe. Joining our hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson in their Gothic exploration of the man behind The Raven are two people who know the work of Poe intimately. Actor Jeffrey Combs of 'Re-Animator' fame has literally had to get under Poe's skin to play him in the one man show 'Nevermore' which played to sold out audiences over a year ago. The good news is it's back and Jeffrey will be playing Poe once a month for the entire year at the Steve Allen theater in Los Angeles. Jeffrey discusses the complexities of Poe both as an artist and as a man and the challenges of playing the popular historical figure. Our second guest is largely responsible for bringing Poe into the popular culture with his colorful and atmospheric film adaptations of Poe's work, he is a recent Oscar winner and living legend of American cinema, the 'King of the B-Movies', Roger Corman. We delve into the origins of Corman's interest in Poe and how the gamble to make a costume period drama at the beginning of the 1960's paid off. As if this wasn't enough Poe infusion, our very own Staci Layne Wilson premieres the trailer for her own Poe adaptation -'The Key to Annabel Lee [A Woman in Triptych]'. - The good news is -It's Alive! The bad news it's a mutant killer baby. This Week in Horror our co-hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson count down the top 5 horror films to Avoid while pregnant. Joining them in studio is the man responsible for some of the strangest and most provocative satirical horror films in the business, the original Guerilla filmmaker turned studio screenwriter, Larry Cohen. Together they discuss the inspiration for his horror satires of the American family in 'It's Alive' and consumer culture in 'The Stuff'. Larry tells of how he got away without shooting permits in New York and how he managed to fire machine guns from the top of the Chrysler building for the finale of his classic monster movie 'Q: The winged Serpent'. In our brand new segment we will be bringing you a special 'Trailers from Hell' clip each week thanks to the folks at Trailers from Hell, kicking it off is Larry Cohen on the 1953 Sci-Fi film 'Invaders from Mars'. All this and a rant about the new J. Edgar Hoover biopic form a guy who knows a thing or two about the troubled Director of the FBI.

AJ discusses his work with many of the leading young directors in the genre and finding the empathy for the killer in his nuanced performance as a serial killer still in love with his ex. So much murder, so little time.
