    • 1. Cry Heard 'Round the World

      2013Short
Cry Heard 'Round the World is a documentary film produced by Dallas based company Dolphin Blue. The film explores the debate of whether or not Texas as well as all US citizens really should have the Keystone XL Pipeline in their communities. February 17, 2013 filmmakers Elliott Gilbert, Rustin Rogers and Joseph Capps embarked on a 30-hour bus ride with the group Forward on Climate Change organized by Rita Beving of The Sierra Club, as they rally to March on Washington. Along the way the viewer will explore many opinions delving into fact and fiction in order to understand the complex battle between the Oil and Gas Industry and the supporters of renewable energies. The cast of characters range from college students, a Texas Farmer, residential victims of a pipeline spill, seasoned climate change supports, and nationally recognized leaders opposed to the Keystone XL Pipeline. By the end of the film the audience will journey through Texas, Arkansas, and Washington DC. The largest climate change rally ever to gather in a single place, 40,000 people gathered in Washington, DC, on February 17 for 350.org and The Sierra Club 'Forward on Climate' rally. Their objective: show support for President Obama and Congress to take meaningful and lasting action to begin solving the climate crisis. Dolphin Blue's intent in producing this soon-to-be-released documentary is to raise awareness of the importance of meeting the climate change challenge, and to take a stand in protecting Mother Earth, our only physical home. This is the beginning of what is to come.
