The homicide investigation of magazine promoter Ruben De La Santos (Ben Wood) is going cold. Found in a ditch a few feet from his car horribly mutilated, police have only concluded that his death was the result of a savage dog attack. Cold case detective Frank Yates (Stephen Brent) has taken the case and launches his own search for the truth behind this mysterious murder. The trail leads him to Ruben's associates at the magazine where an assortment of possible suspects are sifted through. Ruben's best friend and partner of many years Drake Ericson, (Adam Wade) a struggling alcoholic, becomes a prime suspect. But chief editor Adam Kringle (Heath Allyn) shines a suspicious light on Ruben's girlfriend Charva Bolavon (Josie Collier). The mysterious Austrian beauty Charva becomes a center of gossip and intrigue as the magazine tries to conduct business as usual and detective Yates seeks the evidence required to close the case. He discovers Drake and Charva have developed an odd relationship that furthers his suspicions of their involvement in Ruben's murder. With a lack of physical proof Yates watches until someone reveals their guilt, but then it may be to late.
