- Unaussprechlichen Kulten is a Gothenburg-based duo consisting of the author and electronic musician Pär Thörn and the industrial musician and translator Jean Fatal. Their musical expression mixes literary elements with electroacoustics and classical industry. Pär Thörn works mainly with surrealist poetry, fanzines, associative prose and schizo-paranoid sound collages. Earlier this year he published the prose book "Era anklagelser är meningslösa / Your accusations are meaningless". Jean Fatal is best known as a singer in the post-punk band Death's Lambs. Today he is also active as a concrete-industrial solo musician.
- Imagine a grieving woman who has no choice but to remain virtually confined within the walls of a closed room for months, barred from meeting people who should consoled her and brought her out of grief and sense of loneliness. The movie portrays such a hapless woman, Qamarunnisah. Hailing from a traditional Muslim family, she finds herself within the confines of the room for a period of over four months - 'Iddah' (waiting period ) - after her husband's demise. She is disconnected from the outside world for four months and ten days. Left alone and helpless, she remaines unacquainted with those she thinks will stand with her during the grieving period. Her ailing mom and flightless small daughter made her life more uncertain. It hurts us deeply to watch her being left alone during a period when she badly needs support and consolation.

The film follows Austyn Tester, a Tennessee teen with ambitious dreams that reach far beyond his rural hometown, and Michael Weist, an exacting young talent manager and producer who runs the industry Tester so badly wants to break into. Jawline premiered at Sundance back in January where it won Liza Mandelup the Special Jury Prize for Emerging Filmmaker, and it became available to stream on Hulu this past weekend. Ahead of its release, we sat down with Mandelup and Weist to dissect the film's evocative title, and to discuss the shocking amount of power teen girls have in the digital age.
